We aim to create a more liveable and equitable planet by building an ecosystem for last mile interventions and policy guidance towards climate change mitigation, poverty alleviation, better health and sustainable economic techniques for marginalised sections of society.
Despite the fact that access to energy, water, affordable healthcare and agriculture is the engine of civilization, access to adequate and affordable sources is not equally distributed on the planet. Its presence isstrongly and constantly intertwined with economic and social development. EarthON Foundation works with marginalized and vulnerable communities like farmers and women in India, Sub-Saharan region, the USA and Canada where access to clean energy and clean water is still a major prolem.
We intend to develop policy solutions and proposals to address environmental problems including, but not limited to, soil, air, and water by promoting renewable energy solutions, organic farming practices, technology-based health care using upskilling and capacity building, empirical research, policy education, and dissemination of information.
The Foundation conducts and distributes research, studies, and analysis in the thematic areas.Additionally, we seek to focus public debate on solutions to environmental problems, such as by providing the public with information on safe alternatives to approaches that threaten the environment.
We concentrate our outreach activities in communities that are or will be most directly affected by climate change, with an emphasis on low- and middle-income, multicultural, and rural communities. The Foundation’s resources will be directed toward grassroots organizations that work principally with these groups.
We hope to create a network of interested parties with the motivation and support to assist those suffering from the negative effects of climate change. While its focus will be on communities and interested parties in the United States, the effects and threats of climate change are a global issue. A disaster in one part of the world causes a rippling effect and will impact families, businesses, and communities in the United States. For this reason, while the Foundation will focus on communities in the United States, it will not turn away communities in need that are located abroad
Grassroot organisations can reach out to us for undertaking surveys in vulnerable communities and initiate action based research to identify the issues and offer solutions. CSRs can collaborate with us to fund programmes and projects that are aligned with their goals and create a deeper impact.
